Program(s) affected: T1 Document created: April 25, 2005
Tax year(s): 2004 Document last modified:

My client has a business outside Quebec; he was living in Quebec on December 31, 2004, and he is using an amount of AMT carryforward to reduce his tax payable in 2004. Why is DT Max not carrying the amount from schedule E to line 441 of his Quebec return?

This only occurs in the presence of an AMT carryforward that is applied against tax payable on line 13 of schedule E, and form TP-22 is being generated. In such a case, the amount from line 18 of schedule E does not match the amount that appears on line 441 of the Quebec return because DT Max erroneously enters the amount from line 48 of form TP-22.
